sunfoundation: Bribespot lets people “check in” when they’ve been bribed Bribery may not be a huge problem in the US, but worldwide it’s almost an epidemic, with some local governments sanctioning bribes of law officers to the degree that no one pays official fines any more. Instead, the officer gets his cut and part of it goes back to the government. It’s sickening and it’s rampant, especially in countries like Romania, Russia, Mexico and many other nations.
